Fall is official upon us... the rain has started for the first time in about 3 months, it has dropped 15 degrees outside and I swear it got dark an hour earlier today. Well along with Fall comes hunting season. I know Joel loves it but it isn't easy to hand the guy over for many weekends all fall... but it does give us a great excuse to pack up and spend the whole weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Jones, or as Bennett calls them "Old Grandma and Grandpa" (long and very cute story on how they got this title but sadly it has stuck)
My kids have been so easy there lately mostly because Bennett wants nothing to do with me at night and happily snuggles in between Grandma and Grandpa in their bed. Annie is still a little babe who crashes at 7 pm no matter where she is. It was a relaxing weekend with Bennett's big project being tackling two pumpkins with his new pumpkin masters carving kit with Grandpa!
He loves all this Halloween stuff and has already started talking about Christmas! The Holidays are going to be so much fun this year!!!
So Friday night when Grandma, Grandpa and Mom were a little worn out and Bennett was super excited about pumpkins we explained to him that you need to wash the pumpkins and let them dry over night and right after breakfast we would dig in... he loved it and got very into the soaping part!
The next morning...
He wasnt super excited about the gross insides this year... he just wanted to use the "cutters"
Turns out he had the attention span of a three year old and this is how the carving ended up as B was outside with Grandpa...
All lit up...
