Hey Tooth Fairy!

Yep Folks, We have a first tooth! She is not a fan at all... Lets just say that she hasn't really yet understood how cool the tooth fairy is... she will learn someday!
Growing up so fast!

Trick or Treat

We have done a lot of Halloween fun the last couple weeks and we had one little boy that was more than ready to get out and prove himself in this much anticipated trick or treating.
We headed up just like last year to join the Davis' for the candy gathering. Bennett very excitedly followed Lilly and Chloe was pulling up the rear slowly but surely following the other kids from door to door. I was surprised that Bennett wore his mask nearly the whole time and was very proud of his loot. He was so excited that by the time he got home he was ready to pick out one special piece and was ok with putting the rest away. (something tells me this is the last year that will fly)
And the most fun for us and B was that Spiderman stopped by a couple weeks before Halloween and gave me a secret present that he wanted me to give to Bennett if he was a good listener and used nice words all the way until Trick or Treating... and thankfully he was an angel and was so excited to open his special gift he was been waiting for. He got his brand new web shooter and he was so happy that he asked me to help him write a thank you card to spiderman. It was so sweet! Right after we wrote the letter at Grandmas he said "I think Spiderman would also really like some chocolate cookies" oh this boy is a little too smart :)
Happy Halloween to our little Spiderman and Flower... We love watching you guys on these special days. You are growing so fast and these holidays when you are young will fly by. I just hope I can memorize every second!

First Ever Parent Teacher Conference!

This last week we had Bennett's very first Parent Conference and I must say I was kinda anxious to hear how he was doing. I wasn't nervous that he was being a disaster at school, I have just never left him at something like this and without a  ton of input on how his days are it is hard to really tell how he is doing. I just want him to be the sweet little guy that he is and to be making friends.
We had to reschedule the conference and Bennett's amazing teacher Miss Betsy came to meet us on her day off. She sat down and with a big smile (this is when I braced myself for the worst...) she began in to telling me how amazing Bennett is. Dont get me wrong we were not shocked but it was such a huge rush of joy for this proud mama. She said he was making friends, listening and talking a ton with all the other kids. She said he is sweet and makes everyone laugh. I really appreciate how wonderful Miss Betsy is, She loves all the kids and how Bennett can have a bit of excess rowdy but smiley energy and even laughs a little about preschool fight club, she is realistic and you can tell she geneuinely loves what she does.
One last fun Halloween day before the actual trick or treating (if you are keeping track this is about the billionth time Bennett has worn this Spiderman Costume) We wore the costume to his school costume parade. The Parents were invited in at the end of the school day and the kids were clearly extatic to show off their special costumes... I had to giggle a little about my spiderman crawling around the center of circle time pretending to jumping and shoot webs, not showing off his best listening skills but it was kinda cute so we let it slide!
Annie J making some friends too with another younger sib.
Here's a few pictures from his first field trip last week... to the Farmers Market! So fun to see him making his own little buddies. Loved watching the kids and getting some time to spend with the other moms.

What a Hallo-week!

Since the rain have blown in we have lived and breathed Halloween, Fall and everything that goes with it... most importantly, Our little Spider man! Bennett has worn this costume numerous times and has fallen in love with the holiday and all the fun traditions that go with it. It is so magical to watch the kids get so excited about these special days, it gives us something to talk about and I love hearing his imagination churning away.
This week we have carved pumpkins, just the way we have done it that last 3 years, at the kitchen table making a mess with my boys. Annie was snoozing away and something tells me she wouldn't have been as excited about the mess anyway.
We also headed down to Grandma and Grandpa Jones' this weekend while the Daddy was gone hunting. Bennett got to go to his very first Halloween party without Mom or Dad. He was so excited for Uncle Marty and Aunt Katie to take him I thought he was going to explode! He had a blast getting dressed with his cousins! too cute! Grandma and Bennett made these amazing caramel apples (and they were delicious!!!)
We are falling in love with the beginning of this holiday season. Bennett has been so much fun with Halloween and I can not wait to see him on Christmas morning!
Waiting so patiently for Uncle Marty to come get him!

Last year we started the tradition of having Grandma Sandy come down to hit the local pumpkin patch with us! It is always fun to get outside int he fall and especially fun to go get those great fritters! Bennett was ecstatic about all the animals, the farm stuff and his chocolate doughnut!
What a great morning in the sun (yep I said Sun right before a huge hail storm this afternoon) We got some great pumpkins and I cant wait to go again next year... Thank you Grandma Sandy for coming with us!!!

Two Birthday Girls!

To a four year old there is really nothing more exciting than a friend having a birthday... What is there really not to like?! Good food, tons of friends running around like crazy, presents and endless sugar treats. When I told Bennett last week that we were going to go to Rey's and Evelyn's Birthday parties all in the same day he was super excited.
One special bonus was that Rey's party was a costume party and he would be able to finally wear his Spider man costume for the whole day!!! He was so excited. He would run me into dad's closet at least 5 times a day and say "look mom, that is my Spider man costume and I get to wear it on Saturday" (even though I am pretty sure he doesn't understand days of the week yet, he just knew "Saturday" was The Day!)
I asked Jania if I could make the cupcakes again and found these great cupcakes on Pintrest (lord knows what we did before Pintrest :) and we packed up the kids in their costumes! What a fun day Rey!
Little Rey Rey is the sweetest! I love her so much for how much of a smart of smushy little one year old that she is but I also love her because I can't wait to watch her grow up and be friends with my kiddos especially Annie who is just a couple months younger. I love those Miltenberger girls!
After visiting with Rey we headed south and the kids got a very needed nap in the car. We arrived and Bennett had a renewed excitement for everything that comes with a birthday party! I can not believe our little Evie is already 3!! She is so fun and full of energy! Bennett loves how she plays make believe and it was so sweet watching them play quietly in the evening... that is until we realized they were emptying grandmas purse very secretively hehe.
I love watching all these kids grow up and I know someday we are going to laugh about those crazy days when our kids were young and it seemed like the only times we got to hang out with family and friends at gatherings were for little kids parties!
Cute candy corn cupcakes... forsure a new Halloween Favorite!
 Best friends already!
 Mama and Grandma Holly
Rey was getting a bit of help...

One tired kiddo! but happy to be with her daddy!
