I can not believe my boy is four years old! This year we thought we would forgo the craziness of the huge birthday party at our house and go for the gusto at the new Hands on Children's Museum (Bennett's preschool) so that everyone could see his new school and we could let the kids go crazy and really get the party out.
It was a little more crazy than we had planned. The kids all ran like mad, the parents were sweating to keep up and the Birthday Boy was grinning ear to ear. I could barely keep up to take pictures at all let alone capture every sweet moment with my birthday guy.
This is the first year that he counted down the day until his birthday and he was so excited when it finally arrived. He even had some friends come from his school and he was excited and a tiny bit confused that his Grandmas, grandpas, aunties and even his friends from school were all in one room and singing to him... a part of me was so busy and worried about the details that I hardly had any time for tears about my little boy already being 4.
We had some friends from out of town and so we headed back to our house to spend a little more quieter time with some party goers (even though with that many kids under 5, no time is ever really quiet). At the end of the night we had many very tired partiers, very proud birthday boy parents, and a very tired and grateful little 4 year old boy!
I Love you Bennett, more that this mama will ever be able to explain to you. You have grown into an amazing little man and we could not be more proud of you. We love watching you grow and how you have became a busy, funny and also a grateful and caring boy. You make my life happy!
Turns out it was sisters nap time... loved some Auntie Shar time.

Right after a took this picture Bennett took a big slurp of the water.. yum!
Back at the house... Annie and her friend Sam (both due Feb 16, 2012) such good buddies already.

This is a serious football stance... Uncle Marty would be proud!
